Ramchandipur (Reta Daab) village, located under Mustafabad Gram Panchayat, is home to marginalized communities that continue to face a severe drinking water crisis. As per 2025 estimates, the village has a total population of approximately 4,500 people.

The demographic composition includes around 80% Nishad / Mallah community, while the remaining 20% consists of Yadav, Harijan, Rajbhar communities, one Kumhar family, and one Muslim family.

Drinking Water Crisis in Ramchandipur Village

A Persistent Rural Challenge

For several years, residents of Reta Daab have been dependent on unsafe and contaminated water sources for daily consumption. The impact is especially severe on women, children, and elderly people, leading to health issues, water-borne diseases, and daily hardship in accessing clean water.

The lack of a safe drinking water facility has become one of the most critical development challenges in the village.

Community Survey Conducted by MASS

Identifying the Need for an RO Water Plant

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Mahila Arthik Sanskritik & Shashik Vikas Sansthan (MASS) has been actively working in the area for the past one year.

A detailed community water survey was conducted by Ms. Suji Shrivastava, a dedicated member of the organization. The survey findings clearly identified the installation of an RO (Reverse Osmosis) Water Plant as the most effective and sustainable solution to address the village’s drinking water problem.

Field Survey Verification – 25 December 2025

Community Participation & Validation

On 25 December 2025, MASS conducted an on-ground field verification of the survey findings. The verification team included:

  • Mr. Sandeep Kumar Gautam
  • Mr. Santosh Chaudhary
  • Mr. Vishal Shrivastava
  • Mr. Sunil Yadav, Social Worker

During the visit, local women, men, and children participated actively, openly sharing their challenges and expectations regarding access to clean drinking water. The strong community presence reflected their readiness to support and sustain the initiative.

Commitment to Install an RO Water Plant in 2026

A Step Towards Health & Dignity

MASS assured the villagers that the organization will make every possible effort to install an RO Water Plant during 2026, through partnerships, community support, and institutional collaboration.

This initiative is not just an infrastructure project—it is a lifeline for health, dignity, and long-term well-being for the Nishad / Mallah community and other vulnerable families of Ramchandipur.

The villagers are looking at this effort with not only hope, but strong trust and belief that this initiative will succeed.

Conclusion: Clean Water for a Healthier Future

Empowering Rural Communities Through Sustainable Development

Access to clean drinking water is a basic human right.
Through this initiative, MASS aims to improve public health, reduce disease burden, empower women, and strengthen community resilience in Ramchandipur village.

“From hope to trust, and from trust to transformation.”

That is the commitment of MASS.
