A 90-Year-Old Grandmother Rescued from Bulandshahr: A Story of Humanity and Hope On 30th February 2026, members of the MASS team—Gopal Shashwat and Joshika Sharma—received urgent information from local residents about a heartbreaking situation.   International Women’s Day – A Journey of 40 Years of Women’s Empowerment On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I find myself reflecting on an emotional and meaningful journey. It has been nearly 40 years since I began nurturing and managing this organization. Over these four decades, our organization has experienced many ups and downs, challenges and achievements, but the spirit of working for women’s empowerment has remained constant. When I look back, I remember the early days when many women in our communities lived behind the ghoonghat, hesitant to step outside their homes. Being part of their journeys, seeing their gradual transformation into confident and aware individuals, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The work of our organization has always been rooted in the ...

When a Mother Is Left Behind by the Children She Raised https://youtube.com/shorts/uLJRQAJu9Vk?feature=share                                       https://youtu.be/gtXMjWo3J40 On 9 January 2026, an elderly woman named Shanti Devi was rescued from Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad, and brought to Sri Shyam Vridha Ashram. She arrived with trembling steps, moist eyes, and a heart heavy with betrayal—but with no belongings of her own. During counselling, a painful truth emerged. Shanti Devi has three sons. All three are married. All three are capable of providing care. Yet none of them were willing to give their mother a place in their home—or in their hearts. These were the same sons whose first steps were guided by her hands. The same sons for whom she sacrificed her own hunger so they would never sleep without food. The same sons for whom she worked relentlessly, endured hardship, and built a futur...
