  A 90-Year-Old Grandmother Rescued from Bulandshahr: A Story of Humanity and Hope On 30th February 2026, members of the MASS team—Gopal Shashwat and Joshika Sharma—received urgent information from local residents about a heartbreaking situation. A 90-year-old elderly mother had reportedly been abandoned by her children nearly three months ago and was living in extremely poor conditions. When the team arrived at the location, the reality was even more distressing than expected. The elderly woman was suffering from severe headache and fever. Upon closer care and cleaning, it was discovered that her scalp was infested with numerous maggots. Her condition reflected deep neglect and pain, leaving the team emotionally shaken. Understanding the urgency, the MASS team immediately took action. She was safely rescued and brought to the आश्रम (shelter), where she is now receiving proper medical attention, care, and dignity—something every human being deserves. Sri Shyam Old Age Home ...

  International Women’s Day – A Journey of 40 Years of Women’s Empowerment On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I find myself reflecting on an emotional and meaningful journey. It has been nearly 40 years since I began nurturing and managing this organization. Over these four decades, our organization has experienced many ups and downs, challenges and achievements, but the spirit of working for women’s empowerment has remained constant. When I look back, I remember the early days when many women in our communities lived behind the ghoonghat, hesitant to step outside their homes. Some worked in other people’s houses just to support their families. Despite the limitations they faced, they carried within them immense strength, resilience, and determination. Being part of their journeys, seeing their gradual transformation into confident and aware individuals, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
